Established in 2003, CINPAR is a milestone of excellence, celebrating over twenty years of transformation in the construction sector. Originating from the IEMAC of the Vale do Acarajú State University, the event has grown and developed, offering a unique platform for sharing ideas, knowledge, and advancements. The inaugural meeting, organised by Professor Francisco Carvalho, took place in Sobral, Ceará. Today, it is regarded as one of the world’s leading conferences in the field of structural pathology and rehabilitation. Over the past 21 editions, both in-person and virtual meetings have been successfully hosted in six countries: Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, Chile, Italy, and Turkey.

For the specialist in pathology and rehabilitation of structures, it is essential to have knowledge about: technology of the materials used (stone, adobe, wood, steel, concrete or other); geometric characteristics of the structures; possible tests of physical and mechanical characterisation of the materials; behaviour of structural elements and solutions for rehabilitation and reinforcement. Recently, the evolution of knowledge in the domains of pathology and rehabilitation of buildings has shown a significant impetus, due to the growing awareness of various players in the construction sector, as well as the emergence of new materials, techniques, and solutions. Recent statistics indicate that investment in the rehabilitation sector is showing an increasing trend. CINPAR 2026 represents a significant opportunity for acquiring new knowledge and exchanging experiences in fields related to the rehabilitation and strengthening of structures.
